How To Save Money On Heating Costs With Infrared Heaters

If you want to buy one of the 'hottest' little gadgets for heating your home on the market today, you might want to think about investing in an infrared heater such as the EdenPure infrared heater.

We have tile floors throughout most of our house.  Consistently in the wintertime, we have to turn our thermostat to 69 degrees to compensate for the cool winds that seem to come from everywhere in our house.

They're healthier than traditional heaters. Instead of blowing out dry heat, infrared heaters give out what is called negative ion heat. They do this by a process similar to the way heat is made when the sun goes through a magnifying glass. The heat produced by the infrared heater goes into the floor first and then moves up the walls to the ceiling, so it heats the entire room, not just spaces in the room. By turning on an overhead fan, you can help circulate the air even more.

The result is a heater that not only heats the house but it heats your body. You don't feel the dry, achiness of your usual wintertime furnace. You don't feel like your joints are like stiff rocks when you get out of bed in the morning and that the house is as cold as an ice cube.

The infrared heater also cleans the air of impurities such as smoke, dust, etc. All without emitting carbon combustion or other harmful products into the air.

There is no big fan to blow hot air around the room but rather it raises the temperature of the room.....again from the floor up, permeating all objects in the house.

They weigh next to nothing, are small and unobtrusive. There are several suggestinos about where to place them in the home to get the maximum effect but they can be placed in many different locations to provide the best coverage and warmth.

As in any other heating element, you would not want to cover an infrared heater or have it placed near a fireplace or around gasoline. It can be a fire hazard only in these types of environments but with proper care, it is a totally safe way to heat your home.

Pets and children can touch the heater and except for the coil, it remains cool. The coil is inside the heater so it would really have to take some doing to touch it.  There again is no hot air emanating from it so passing by it or sitting beside it will not burn anyone or overheat furniture or other surfaces in the home.

It is quieter than any appliance you own. It emits just the tiniest of blowing noise as the unit performs its heating job.  The noise is barely noticeable.

Maintenance is relatively nil. You clean the plastic air filter if you have it installed because it collects dust.  It's recommended just to clean it off every day during heavy periods of use and that's it!

The cost to run these heaters is extremely low.  Some estimate that your energy bill will drop 30% to 50%. We'll monitor ours and see where we stand after this month. We just paid over $300 for our utility bill because of the extremely cold weather we've been experiencing. However, for 2 days, our thermostat has been turned down to 57 degrees and that has to bring down the cost of our utilities.

In short, if you want a green solution to heating your home, the infrared heater is your solution.
